Competent Practice in the

Treatment of Eating Disorders

by Stacy Ippolito, LMFT

Eating Disorders can be one of the more complex psychological disorders to treat due to the severe medical co-morbidities. This presentation is designed to support providers in the community in their understanding of the demographics of the population, mortality rates of those with Eating Disorders, developing a risk profile, diagnostic criteria, evaluation, and treatment options. The goal is for attendees to be able to identify individuals who are struggling with an eating disorder, and assist them in finding the most appropriate treatment available.

Prior to joining Oasis, she dedicated herself to working in the Eating Disorders Outpatient Program at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital as a Program Therapist. Additionally, she supported the Practicum Student Training Program as a supervisor of MFT Trainees and Social Work Interns. Stacy has always been passionate about helping those who suffer from mental illness. She is excited to be able to offer treatment for eating disorders in the community.
