Health At Every Size: Application of HAES Philosophy to Enhance Patient Care, and Improve Health Outcomes

by Stacy Ippolito, LMFT

Clinical Director, Oasis Eating Disorder Recovery

The treatment of Eating Disorders is exceptionally complex, and confusing or unhelpful information about weight, health, diets, and lifestyles litter the internet bookshelves.  This educational event is designed to cut through the confusion and utilize the application of a philosophy that increases psychological well-being in patients struggling with many of these challenges.  Therapists will learn how applying a HAES philosophy to patient care will improve clinical care.  It will focus on the use of interventions and the latest research related to the Health At Every Size philosophy.

Stacy Ippolito is a California Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.  She is the Clinical Director of Oasis Eating Disorder Recovery, which operates intensive outpatient and day treatment programs in Fresno for those who struggle with significant symptoms of an eating disorder. Stacy is a Central Valley native. She received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Prior to joining Oasis, she dedicated herself to working in the Eating Disorders Outpatient Program at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital as a Program Therapist. Additionally, she supported the Practicum Student Training Program as a supervisor of MFT Trainees and Social Work Interns. Stacy has always been passionate about helping those who suffer from mental illness. She is excited to be able to offer treatment for eating disorders in the community.

This continuing education course is designed for post-graduate, post-licensure, level training in the area of eating disorder assessment and the treatment of patients presenting with symptoms of an eating disorder.  It is targeted toward psychologists and mental health professionals who are actively licensed practitioners.

Please register early as space may be limited depending on interest.
